TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team will return to HCAC play hosting Anderson on Saturday, April 13 at 1 PM and 3 PM, and traveling to Manchester on Sunday, April 14 at 1 PM and 3 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
» The Fightin' Engineers enter the weekend with a record of 15-9 overall and 2-2 in the HCAC.
» The team comes off a sweep over Blackburn on Thursday with final scores of 6-5 and 10-4.
» Rose-Hulman has split each of their conference doubleheaders this season against Defiance and Earlham.
» Rose-Hulman started their season with their spring trip to Florida finishing the week with a record of 6-4 overall.
» The Fightin' Engineers earned four wins against Grove City and two wins against Houghton on the trip.
» Rose-Hulman opens their 22nd consecutive season under head coach
Brian Shearer as the Fightin' Engineers look to bounce back from a 7-24 season in 2023 that included a 1-14 record in the HCAC.

Jessica Newsom leads the Fightin' Engineers with a .400 batting average, 1.104 OPS, 24 runs scored, 36 hits, nine doubles, four home runs, a .678 slugging percentage, and a .426 on-base percentage.

Aubrey Smith has also been impactful at the plate with 26 hits, 17 runs scored, and a team high 18 RBIs.
» Smith has been the ace in the circle with a team-high 53.0 innings pitched, 46 strikeouts, a 2.25 ERA, and two saves.

Phoebe Worstell has also made an impact in the circle with 49.2 innings pitched and 38 strikeouts.
» Rose-Hulman was selected ninth overall in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll. The Fightin' Engineers received 20 poll points.

» The Ravens come off two losses to Transylvania with final scores of 11-1 and 17-1.
» Maddie Schoenradt leads the team with a .500 slugging percentage, eight RBIs, and nine runs scored.

» Before facing the Fightin' Engineers, the Spartans will travel to take on Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday, April 13 at 1 PM and 3 PM.
» Manchester comes off a split with Asbury on Sunday winning game one, 10-2, and falling short in game two, 6-5.
» Lexi Goodman is the team's star hitter leading the team with a .440 batting average, 22 hits,15 runs scored, a .540 on-base percentage, and 10 stolen bases.
» Lizzy Willis is the ace in the circle with 39.1 innings pitched and 23 strikeouts.
