TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team will hit the road to take on Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday, April 27 at 1 PM and 3 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
» The Fightin' Engineers stand at 20-12 overall and 7-5 in the HCAC this season.
» The team comes off two tough losses to Franklin College with final scores of 8-0 and 8-0.
» Rose-Hulman has won eight of their last 11 games including the two losses to Franklin and one loss to Manchester in extra innings.
» Rose-Hulman ranks second in the conference and ranks 66 th in the nation with six shutouts this season.

Jessica Newsom leads the Fightin' Engineers with a .395 batting average, 45 hits, 31 runs scored, five home runs, a .430 on-base percentage, and a .649 slugging percentage.

Aubrey Smith has also been able to make an impact at the plate with a .337 batting average, 21 runs scored, 34 hits, and a team-high 23 RBIs.
» Smith has been the ace in the circle with a 2.41 ERA pitching 75.2 innings with 56 strikeouts.

Phoebe Worstell has also been a weapon for the Fightin' Engineers in the circle with a 2.49 ERA, 73.0 innings pitched, and 50 strikeouts.
» Rose-Hulman was selected ninth overall in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll. The Fightin' Engineers received 20 poll points.

» The Fightin' Engineers will return home to host Hanover College in HCAC action on Wednesday, May 1 at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

» Mount St. Joseph enters the weekend doubleheader against Rose-Hulman with a record of 15-13 overall and 7-5 in the HCAC.
» The Lions come off a sweep over Bluffton with final scores of 9-1 and 9-1.
» Maddie Kennedy is the standout at the plate with a .416 batting average, a .596 slugging percentage, and .454 on-base percentage, with a team-high 37 hits, and 19 RBIs.
» Casey Kemp is the team's ace in the circle with 92.1 innings pitched, a 2.43 ERA, and 58 strikeouts.
» After facing Rose-Hulman, MSJ will host Ohio Northern on Tuesday, April 30 at 4 PM and 6 PM.
