The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team will open their spring season on Saturday, February 1 as they play host to the Manchester University Spartans in an HCAC battle.
The following week, the Fightin' Engineers will travel down US-40 as they look for their first-ever win against the DePauw Tigers. The team will then return to their home courts for their final tune-up before the trip to Florida as they host the Olivet Nazarene Tigers for the first time in school history.
In Orlando, the Fightin' Engineers have four matches on the docket with teams all across the country including Allegheny, Concordia (WI), Wartburg, and Saint Mary's (MN). It will be the first time in school history that the Fightin' Engineers have played Allegheny, Concordia (WI), and Saint Mary's (MN).
Rose-Hulman returns home on March 15 and March 16 as they host Hanover and Trine in their first matches at the Joy Hulbert Tennis Center this season.
After a pair of matches on the road against Anderson and Marian (IN), the Fightin' Engineers will host the Berea Mountaineers on Saturday, March 29 for their first of three consecutive matches on their home courts. The team will then host Principia on April 5 and Roosevelt on April 9 in their final home match of the season.
Rose-Hulman takes a trip to Chicago, Illinois on April 12 as they play a pair of CCIW foes including Wheaton (IL) and Elmhurst, then they travel to Indianapolis on the following weekend for a pair of matches with the Franklin Grizzlies and the IU-Southeast Grenadiers on April 19. The regular season concludes on April 26 as the Fightin' Engineers travel to Lexington, Kentucky for a battle with the Transylvania Pioneers in a match that could decide the HCAC regular season title.
The HCAC Tournament will commence on Wednesday, April 30 with the opening round games between the teams that finish 3-6 in the conference. The top two teams will earn a bye to the HCAC Semifinals on May 3. The Semifinals and Championship matches will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana at North Central High School on May 3-4.
This season, the Fightin' Engineers play three different teams who participated in the 2024 NCAA DIII NCAA Tournament. Concordia-Wisconsin and Principia were both taken down in the opening round of the tournament with 5-0 sweeps to Sewanee and Grinnell. Transylvania was the only Rose-Hulman opponent to win a match in the NCAA Tournament with a 5-3 win over Penn State-Harrisburg before falling to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the second round.
Rose-Hulman also plays six different teams for the first time in the 29-year history of women's tennis at Rose-Hulman. Those opponents that will see their first ever meeting with the Fightin' Engineers include Olivet Nazarene-IL (February 15), Allegheny (March 3), Concordia-WI (March 3), Saint Mary's-MN (March 6), Berea (March 29), and Roosevelt (April 9).
