CARMEL, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletics Conference has released its weekly award winners for the sport of men's swimming and diving. The Fightin' Engineers have swept this week's awards, with
Trevor Wiley earning Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week, and
Parker Siddons claiming HCAC Diver of the Week for their efforts in the team's third-place finish at the Indiana DIII Championships hosted by Wabash this past Saturday.
Siddons led the Fightin' Engineers with two event wins in the Indiana DIII Championships. The biomedical engineering major from Plainfield, Indiana, placed first in both the 1-meter diving (198.85) and 3-meter diving (190.40).
Wiley made an impact as well. The biomedical engineering major from Indianapolis, Indiana, earned an event win in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:56.82. Wiley also earned a second-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 1:59.19, and a third-place finish as a member of the 200 medley relay team with a time of 1:39.54.
This is the first HCAC Athlete of the Week this season for Siddons and Wiley. This is the 12th HCAC Athlete of the Week for Siddons in his illustrious career, and the first award for Wiley in his college career with the Fightin' Engineers.
The men's swimming and diving team will return to action this weekend, traveling to take on Wabash in a dual meet on Friday, October 24, at 7 PM.
