Women's Track & Field Finishes Second at Fightin' Engineers Invite

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team started their indoor season with a second-place finish in the Fightin' Engineers Invitational. The team fell to St. Mary-of-the-Woods by four points with team scores of 63-59.

The team earned five event wins and 20 top-three finishes on the day. 

Rose Talbert was the standout on the track with event wins in the 400-meter dash (1:00.41) and the 200-meter dash (26.29).

Juliana Carragher also earned an event win on the track in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 12:10.71.

Megan Korte was the other event winner, placing first in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.38 meters. Irene Lema Madueno also claimed first in the field events, representing Rose-Hulman in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.20 meters. 

The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team will return to action in the John Gartland Invitational hosted by Indiana State on Friday, December 12.
