TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Sophomore Avery Witt has been named the HCAC Swimmer of the Week, after leading Rose-Hulman to a fourth-place finish at the Wooster Invitational.
 
Witt thrived in her backstroke events as she recorded a first-place finish in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:10.60. She added a second-place finish in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 59.80.
 
The North Vernon, Ind., native also helped Rose-Hulman achieve multiple top-five finishes in two relay events.
 
Witt was a part of RHIT's fourth-place finish in the 800 Freestyle Relay and the team's fifth-place finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
 
The Fightin' Engineers will be back in action against Valparaiso on Friday, January 9, at 6 PM.
