TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team will return home to host Blackburn on campus for a doubleheader on Monday, April 21, at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 10-10 overall and 4-4 in the HCAC this season.
* The team comes off two losses to Franklin in conference play on Wednesday.

Jessica Newsom has been the standout at the plate, leading the team with 27 hits, 16 runs scored, eight doubles, and four stolen bases this season.
*
Aubrey Smith has also been a productive hitter, leading the team with a .414 batting average, a 1.255 OPS, eight doubles, three home runs, and 24 RBIs.
*
Phoebe Worstell leads the team in the circle with 39.0 innings pitched, 42 strikeouts, and a team-best 3.59 ERA.
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish seventh in the HCAC preseason poll, receiving 34 points.
* The team finished last year with a record of 21-19 overall and 8-10 in the HCAC.
* Last season is just the second 20-win season for the Fightin' Engineers in the past 16 years.

Jessica Newsom is the lone All-HCAC returner after earning First Team All-HCAC during her freshman campaign.

* Blackburn stands at 13-12 overall so far this season.
* The team will host Lyon College on Thursday, April 17, before traveling to take on the Fightin' Engineers.
* Kenadee Frey leads the team at the plate with a .507 batting average, totaling 37 hits, 25 runs scored, and 19 RBIs.
* Shelby Koenig leads the team with 77.1 innings pitched and 92 strikeouts.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, the Beavers will host Fontbonne on Wednesday, April 23, at 3 PM and 5 PM CT.
BLACKBURN SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series against Blackburn with a record of 17-5 against the Beavers.
* The Fightin' Engineers have won seven straight games against Blackburn dating back to the 2014 season.
