TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman baseball standout
Connor O'Connell has received All-Region recognition from the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings and D3baseball.com.
The junior biomedical engineering major earned Second Team All-Region from D3baseball.com and Third Team All-Region from the ABCA/Rawlings. O'Connell was also a First Team All-HCAC honoree this season.Â
O'Connell led the team with a .363 batting average, totaling 29 runs scored, 61 hits, 13 doubles, three triples, six home runs, 40 RBIs, and an on-base percentage of .445. He finished the year ranking fourth in the conference in hits and fifth in triples. O'Connell currently ranks 14th in the school record book with 109 career RBIs and 14th in career doubles with 37.Â
O'Connell was a key member of the Fightin' Engineers baseball team that finished the regular season ranked third in the conference standings. The team finished the year with a record of 23-19 overall and 14-8 in the HCAC.Â
