TERRE HAUTE, Ind. --
Kolton Nanko added another accolade to his name as he was given USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors in men's track and field. In addition, the men's track and field team garnered the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, as they put together a 3.33 average GPA as a group.
Nanko clinched the HCAC title in the pole vault, as he recorded a career-best mark of 15' 5.75" at the outdoor conference championships. The victory marked his fifth first-place victory on the season in the pole vault, and he was named to the All-HCAC First Team for his efforts.
In order to be eligible for All-Academic Athlete honors, Nanko achieved a cumulative GPA above 3.30 and ranked among the top 50 individuals in the country in the pole vault.
To receive the All-Academic Team award, the squad had to obtain a minimum GPA of 3.1 or higher.
