TUNICA, Miss. – The Fightin' Engineers will journey down to Tunica, Miss., for the Rhodes Fall Invitational. The meet will be held at the Tunica National Golf and Tennis Center, with 36 holes of golf being played on Sunday, September 21, and another 18 being played on Monday, September 22.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers opened the season at the Transylvania Invitational.
* Rose-Hulman placed third overall with an 875 (+11) team score across three rounds.
* The Fightin' Engineers hit two under par as a team in round two.
* Senior
Owen King tied for second place with a score of 216 (E).
* King finished the meet with 11 birdies.
* For his efforts, King was named the HCAC Athlete of the Week.
* Junior
Austin Frick tied for ninth overall with a 218 (+2) score.
* Frick hit a team-high 12 birdies, recording four on all three rounds.
* Senior
Ryan Beerheide tied for 20
th place, recording a score of 223 (+7).
* Beerheide finished the competition with a total of eight birdies.
* Senior
Ben Brander rounded out RHIT's team score with a 224 (+8) score, tying for 26
th.
* Brander recorded nine birdies, hitting three on each round.
* Sophomore
Nate Benson added a score of 225 (+9) to tie for 32
nd place.
* Benson finished the competition with seven birdies.
