TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Freshman goalkeeper
Justin Burns has been awarded the HCAC Defensive Player of the Week, following his collegiate debut.
Burns anchored the Rose-Hulman defense in their 3-0 shutout victory against Greenville, recording three saves on the road.
The Tulsa, Okla. Native followed up that performance with five saves against Wilmington, with four coming in the second half.
He concluded the week with an 80.0% save percentage, which is tied for first overall in the HCAC (minimum five saves).
Burns will look to continue to thrive in the net as the Fightin' Engineers compete in their home opener tomorrow, Wednesday, September 3, at 7 PM against the Wabash Little Giants.
