TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Sophomore Iliana Hernandez has garnered the HCAC Offensive Player of the Week award for the first time in her career.
 
Hernandez thrived on the offensive end in RHIT's season opener against St. Mary-of-the-Woods as she led the team with two goals.
 
Hernandez scored her first goal of the game in the 53^rd minute, as her shot from the far end of the box found the back of the net, and she would score her second goal just six minutes later.
 
The Suwanee, Ga. native finished the match with seven total shots and five shots on goal in just 39 minutes of action.
 
Hernandez's five shots on goal rank first overall in the conference, and she is one of only two players in the HCAC to have scored two goals on the year.
 
She will look to add to her scoring total this Sunday, September 7, at 3 PM as Rose-Hulman travels to St. Louis, Mo., to face the #1 WashU Bears.
