Fightin' Engineers Tussle with the Tigers in Season Opener

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman takes on the DePauw Tigers at the Rose-Hulman Natatorium. The meet will be held on Thursday, October 2, and is set to begin at 6:30 PM.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers are coming off a 3-5 record during the 2024-25 season.
* Rose-Hulman recorded a third-place finish at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational.
* The team posted a 2-1 record at home.
* Rose-Hulman concluded the year by finishing third overall at the HCAC Championships.
* Junior Catherine Bath recorded two first-place finishes.
* Bath won the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:10.09 and the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 17:59.20.
* Bath also recorded a second-place finish in the 200 Freestyle, completing the race in 1:57.45.
* Sophomore Avery Witt was named HCAC Newcomer of the Year.
* Witt, Bath, and sophomore Ritu Bharamaraddi achieved three relay first-place finishes.
* The team posted a school record-setting time of 7:55.42 in the 800 Freestyle Relay.
* They added victories in the 400 Medley Relay (4:03.15) and 200 Medley Relay (1:50.88).
* Witt recorded a second-place finish in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 59.84.
* Bharamaraddi placed second in the 200 Backstroke, completing the race in 2:10.37.

DEPAUW NOTES:
* The Tigers recorded a 6-2 mark during the 2024-25 season.
* The team took down Rose-Hulman 170-81 in the season opener last year.
* DePauw achieved first-place finishes at the Indiana DIII Invitational and Gail Pebworth Invitational.
* The Tigers opened the season with a three-game winning streak.
* They added consecutive wins against Bethel and Franklin.
* DePauw concluded the season with a third-place finish at the NCAC Championships.
