TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman returned to Terre Haute, where the Fightin' Engineers placed first overall at the Friday Night Spikes Larry Cole Open. Rose-Hulman secured 155 points as a team, while Wabash placed second with 149 points, and DePauw took third at 138 points.
The team totaled 12 top-three finishes and five event wins.
James Kaunas led the team with 2 top two finishes, winning the high jump (1.78) and placing second in the long jump (6.40).
Joe Jansen also claimed a first-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.78 meters.
Kolton Nanko also secured a victory in the pole vault, clearing 4.20 meters.
On the track,
Joshua Pohle picked up a first-place win in the mile with a time of 4:27.73.
The men's track & field team will return to action next weekend for the Friday Night Spikes #2 at 5 PM, Friday, January 23.
