TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's track & field team picked up a first-place finish in their final home indoor meet of the season. The team totaled a team score of 132 to edge out WashU with a team score of 125.
Rose-Hulman claimed four event wins and 16 top-five finishes.
James Kaunas led the team with a first-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.13 meters (43' 1"). Kaunas also claimed a second-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.29 meters (20' 7.75").
Kolton Nanko also had an impressive day, claiming an event win in the pole vault after clearing a height of 4.75 meters (15' 7").
Other event winners included
Cole Stevens in the 5,000-meter run (16:11.39) and
Andrew Shields in the 400-meter dash (50.37).
Rose-Hulman will return to action competing in the Fairgrounds Invite and the Keck Select Meet on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7.
