VALPARAISO, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's swimming and diving team traveled to compete against Valparaiso in a dual meet on Friday night. The team fell short to Valparaiso with a final score of 157-48. This drops the men's team to 2-3 in dual meets this season.
Rose-Hulman finished the meet with nine top-three finishes and one event win.
Trevor Wiley was the standout for the Fightin' Engineers with the team's lone event win in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:55.23. Wiley also earned a second-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 1:58.11.
Eric Sinclair also had an impressive performance, placing second in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 59.93. The team's other second-place finish came in the 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:30.97.
Rose-Hulman will return to the pool tomorrow at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, January 10, at 2 PM.
