TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman softball team will gear up for an action-filled weekend. The team will hit the road to begin HCAC play against the Manchester Spartans on Saturday, March 28, at 1 PM and 3 PM. They will then return home to host Webster in a doubleheader at 1 PM and 3 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN SOFTBALL NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter the weekend with a 5-7 overall record this season.
* The team started the year with their trip to Florida, picking up wins over Houghton, Baruch, Albright, Anna Maria, and New England.
* Rose-Hulman comes off a doubleheader loss to Greenville with final scores of 11-9 and 13-3.

Kayla Schnippel leads the team at the plate with a .450 batting average, totaling 18 hits, three runs, and six RBIs.

Emily Hodges is another standout hitter, totaling a .357 batting average, 15 hits, eight runs scored, and seven RBIs.

Aubrey Smith leads the team in the pitching circle with a record of 4-2 overall, totaling 38.0 innings pitched with 32 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.68.
