GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's track & field team placed third in the Indiana DIII Championships hosted by DePauw on Saturday. 

The men's team came away with two event wins and 17 top-three finishes. 

Andrew Shields led the team on the track with an event win in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.29.

Xaiden Jenson was another key performer for the mid-distance group, who finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.97. 

Andrew Wendt earned the other event win in the pole vault, after clearing a height of 3.85 meters (12' 7.5").

Antoine Cooper led the throws team with a second-place finish in the discus with a throw of 46.95 meters (154' 0"). Grant Subbert was another standout thrower with a second-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 52.15 meters (171' 1").

The men's track & field team will return to action in the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State on Thursday, April 16.
