Fightin' Engineers Record Six Top-Ten Finishes at Gibson Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman competed as individuals at the Indiana Little State Championships and the Gibson Invitational.
 
Antoine Cooper had a solid showing at the Gibson Invitational as he recorded two top-ten finishes. He placed eighth overall in the hammer throw with a mark of 16' 11" and ninth in the discus with a throw of 156' 9".
 
Kolton Nanko recorded Rose-Hulman's top finish at the Gibson Invite, finishing seventh in the pole vault with a 15' 3.50" throw. James Kaunas added a ninth place finish in the long jump with a mark of 20' 9.00".
 
Andrew Shields and Xaiden Jenson would each recorded tenth place finishes for the Fightin' Engineers. Shields recorded a time of 48.56 in the 400m, while Jenson posted a time of 1:56.68 in the 800m.
 
Grant Subbert led the way at the Indiana Little State Championships, as he placed eighth in the hammer throw with a mark of 175' 6".
 
The Fightin' Engineers will look to defend their HCAC title as they take on the HCAC Outdoor Championships on Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, April 25.
