TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the sport of men's track & field. Xaiden Jenson has been named the HCAC Distance Athlete of the Week.

Jenson earned a 10th-place finish at the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State this past weekend. The freshman mechanical engineering major finished the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.68. His time ranks third in the HCAC and 37th in the region so far this season. 

This is the first HCAC Athlete of the Week award for the McCordsville, Indiana native in his college career. 

The men's track & field team will return to action in the HCAC Championships from Thursday, April 23, to Saturday, April 25, at Transylvania University.
