TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced the weekly award winners for the sport of men's track & field. Rose-Hulman distance star
Joshua Pohle has been named the HCAC Distance Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive time after his record-breaking performance this weekend.
Pohle led the distance team for Rose-Hulman with a 10th-place finish at the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invite in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 30:34.71. The senior mechanical engineering major's time breaks the school record in the event previously set by
Thomas Tullius, with a time of 31:25.06 in the 2024 season.
The Osgood, Indiana native's time leads the conference this season by over a minute, ranks third in the region, and 30th in all of NCAA DIII.
This is the fourth HCAC Athlete of the Week award for Pohle in his college career with the Fightin' Engineers.
The men's track & field team will return to action this weekend at the Indiana Little State Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan and the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State.
