Rose-Hulman Baseball Claims Seven All-HCAC Selections

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers have hauled in seven All-HCAC selections, which is tied for the most in a season since 2016. Three Rose-Hulman student athletes were named to the All-HCAC 1st Team, three were named to the All-HCAC 2nd Team, and one was honored as an All-HCAC 3rd Team selection.
 
Senior Connor O'Connell garnered All-HCAC honors for the third time in his career, with his second consecutive All-HCAC 1st Team selection (2nd Team in 2024). O'Connell posted a .318 batting average, scoring 31 runs on 47 hits. He tied for second on the team with ten doubles, while hitting one triple, one home run, and 28 RBIs. O'Connell began the year by recording at least one run and one RBI in Rose-Hulman's first six games, where the team opened the season with a 5-1 record. He would add another streak of six consecutive games with at least one run at the start of April, highlighted by doubles in three straight games against Hanover, DePauw, and Mt. St. Joseph. O'Connell scored three runs in four games on the season, and he recorded multiple RBIs in seven games. During his Senior Day, O'Connell hit a perfect 3-3 at the plate, where he recorded three RBIs and one home run.
 
Sophomore Jackson Harms earned All-HCAC honors for the second consecutive season, as he was named to the All-HCAC 1st Team for the first time in his career (2nd team in 2025). Harms recorded a .279 batting average, where he led Rose-Hulman with seven home runs and 38 RBIs. He scored 25 runs on 39 hits with one triple, while tying for second on the team with ten doubles. Harms was dominant in Rose-Hulman's three-game series over Hanover, which would ultimately decide the #3-seed in the HCAC Tournament. During the series, Harms hit 8-12 (.667) with five runs, three doubles, seven RBIs, and two home runs. Harms recorded four RBIs in three games on the season, which included a fifth inning grand slam in Rose-Hulman's 4-0 victory over Manchester. He would also appear in two games on the mound, where he recorded a save against Anna Maria.
 
Senior Mason Rasmussen has been named to the All-HCAC 1st Team, earning all-conference honors for the second consecutive season (Honorable Mention in 2025). Rasmussen posted a .298 batting average, where he recorded 37 hits, 31 runs, eight doubles, three home runs, and 24 RBIs. He scored multiple runs in nine games, including three-run performances against Hanover and Bluffton. Rasmussen hit a home run and scored two runs on his Senior Day, as Rose-Hulman defeated Mt. St. Joseph 9-8. He added seven games with multiple RBIs, and he caught 12 batters stealing from behind home plate.
 
Junior Camden Judson racked up All-HCAC 2nd Team honors. Judson started in ten games on the mound, where he accumulated a record of 5-4 with a 5.03 ERA. He struck out 40 batters on the season, while leading Rose-Hulman with 53.2 innings pitched. Judson struck out a career-high ten batters against Hanover, where he gave up just five hits, no runs, and no walks in six innings of action. He enters the HCAC Tournament on a four-game winning streak, as he followed up his win over Hanover by taking down Mt. St. Joseph, Bluffton, and Anderson.
 
Junior Jackson Summers has been named to the All-HCAC 2nd Team. Summers led the HCAC with 48 runs, and he finished fourth in the conference with 58 hits. He finished second on Rose-Hulman with a .345 batting average, while leading the team with 14 doubles. He also hit three triples, three home runs, and 27 RBIs. During the first two weeks of April, Summers scored at least one run in nine consecutive games, which included a five-RBI performance against Hanover, where he hit a grand slam. He scored three or more runs in seven games, and he scored a season-high four runs on 4-5 hitting against Berea. Summers added a team-high 13 stolen bases, and he appeared in two games on the mound, picking up a save against DePauw.
 
Sophomore TJ Pipkins has hauled in All-HCAC 2nd Team honors. Pipkins finished third in the HCAC with a .392 batting average, where he recorded 56 hits and 33 runs. He added nine doubles, three triples, and three home runs while finishing second on the team with 36 RBIs. Pipkins recorded three or more hits in nine games, and he posted multiple RBIs in 11 games. He achieved season highs against Blackburn as he hit 5-6 with four RBIs while adding one double. Pipkins was also monumental in the team's 9-8 victory over #6 WashU as he hit 3-5, while scoring a game-high three runs.
 
Sophomore Liam Richardson has been honored as an All-HCAC Honorable Mention. Richardson started in ten games on the mound, where he posted a 2-2 record. He struck out a team-high 47 batters in 53.0 innings, while recording a 4.42 ERA. In Rose-Hulman's 9-8 victory over #6 WashU, Richardson pitched the first 4.1 innings of the game, where he allowed just three hits and no earned runs. He would also strike out a career-high nine batters in seven innings against Anderson, where he allowed just one earned run in the 12-2 win.
 
Rose-Hulman has concluded the regular season with a record of 22-17 and a conference mark of 13-9. The Fightin' Engineers have clinched the #3-seed in the HCAC Tournament, where they will face #6 Franklin in the opening game of the playoffs, Thursday, May 7, at 10 AM.
