TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Rose-Hulman athletic department will be featuring multiple student-athletes across all of their varsity sports teams this summer in the Fightin' Engineers to Watch media campaign.

Baseball's Fightin' Engineer to Watch is starting pitcher Camden Judson as he enters his senior season.

Judson is coming off a remarkable season where he posted a record of 5-4 on the mound, tying for fourth in the HCAC with five wins. He struck out 44 batters across 58 innings, and he achieved a perfect 4-0 record in the month of April, earning wins against Hanover, Mt. St. Joseph, Bluffton, and Anderson. For his efforts, Judson hauled in All-HCAC Second Team honors, and he would also thrive in the classroom, being named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

The Fightin' Engineers had an incredibly successful season, where they returned to the HCAC Tournament Championship for the first time since 2022. "I believe our team created an amazing atmosphere this past season, and we had a truly special group. We became very close off the field, which resulted in us finding success on the field," said Judson. "The majority of us would agree that our biggest goals for next season are to incorporate our incoming freshmen into the culture we have built as well as filling the roles left by last year's seniors. Once we accomplish these goals, we will have an opportunity to be very successful."

The Terre Haute, Indiana native struck out a career-high ten batters across six innings in a win against Hanover. Judson would allow just five hits in the game while keeping the Panthers off the board, as the Fightin' Engineers achieved a dominant 16-0 victory.

Judson is pursuing a degree in chemical engineering, and he is spending his summer working as a Process Engineering Intern with Steel Dynamics, Inc. in Terre Haute, Indiana. Alongside his internship, Judson is pitching for the Terre Haute Rex collegiate summer baseball league. The team has had an incredibly successful start to the season as they sit atop the conference with a perfect 7-0 record.

Being a student-athlete at Rose-Hulman presents a lot of challenges, which Judson has enjoyed. "You quickly learn the importance of time management skills because of how demanding the schedule can be during the season," said Judson. "Many of the other things you learn from your sport, such as teamwork, leadership, and communication, translate directly to your professional career after graduation. Succeeding in the classroom and on the field at Rose-Hulman results in a very rewarding experience."

The Fightin' Engineers will begin their 2027 campaign in late February, at dates and times that are yet to be determined.
