TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Rose-Hulman athletic department will be featuring multiple student-athletes across all of their varsity sports teams this summer in the Fightin' Engineers to Watch media campaign.
 
Men's basketball's Fightin' Engineer to Watch is forward Cole Pride as he enters his senior season.
 
Pride is coming off an elite junior year where he hauled in All-HCAC First Team Honors. Pride recorded 12.9 points per game on 48.6% shooting, and he added 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. Pride was also a force on the defensive end as he finished third in the HCAC with 1.2 blocks per game while adding 0.9 steals per game.
 
"Rose-Hulman basketball has been one of the greatest decisions I have made in my life," said Pride. "It has challenged me as a player and as a man, while providing me with tools and relationships that will last a lifetime. With one season left to go, my only goal is to win an HCAC Championship and make it to the NCAA Tournament."
 
The Batesville, Indiana native scored a career-high 27 points on 13-20 shooting in Rose-Hulman's 70-69 victory over Anderson. Pride would also score 23 points one week prior in a win over Bluffton, and he put up 21 points on 9-13 shooting in the HCAC Tournament Quarterfinal victory against Hanover.
 
Pride is pursuing a degree in civil engineering, and he is currently back home in Batesville, Indiana, working at earthTek for the second summer in a row. At earthTek, he works with their water treatment design team to help bring clean water solutions to sites all over the country. Alongside his job, Pride has been able to have one of his teammates as a roommate, while also spending time with a few of his other teammates who live close by. "We take advantage of this proximity by getting in plenty of workouts together, while also hanging out and having fun," said Pride.
 
Pride is very grateful for all of these tight-knit relationships he has been able to form while being a student-athlete at Rose-Hulman. "For the rest of my life, I will look back on the fond memories from my time at Rose with all the people that were right there alongside me."
 
The Fightin' Engineers will tip off the 2026-27 season at home against Wabash on Saturday, November 7 at a time that is yet to be determined.
