TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology returns to the Engineer Softball Field to face Anderson University in a doubleheader for the last home game of the season on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Rose-Hulman stands 12-18 overall and 3-9 in league play after falling to Greenville College in a slugfest on Monday evening.
Rose-Hulman features an offense that includes three starters hitting over the .300 mark. Jenny Miller has a .357 average and leads the team in home runs (7) and slugging (.690). Jessica Will has a batting average of .337 with seven doubles and two home runs. Gabbi Markison stands at .300 with seven doubles, and Marissa Stout ltallies 21 RBIs and has 10 extra-base hits.
In the pitching circle, senior Taylor Lockhart leads the staff with a 8-7 record and a 1.98 earned run average. Jenny Miller is 3-3 with a 3.06 ERA, while Michelle Korf has contributed a 4.42 earned run average in 38 innings.
Anderson is currently on a six-game win streak with sweeps over Defienace, Hanover, and Bluffton. The Anderson University Ravens have an overall record of 19-10 (10-2 HCAC). The Ravens are batting .307 as a team, led by Sami Frazier at .380 and Megan Wade with a .375 average. The pitching staff has a 2.67 earned run average, led by Ashley Cleverly at 10-0 with a 0.69 ERA.
After Thursday's matchup, Rose-Hulman will travel to Mount St. Joseph for their last game of the regular season. The doubleheader is slated for Saturday at 1 p.m.
