TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball doubleheader at Hanover College, originally scheduled for Tuesday, will now take place Wednesday April 12 at 3:30 p.m. Hanover will host the Wednesday twinbill.
The Fightin' Engineers will look to halt a four-game skid on Wednesday afternoon. RHIT enters the doubleheader against Hanover with an overall record of 9-11. Hanover is currently 13-7 in 2017.
On the season, shortstop Jessica Will leads RHIT with 25 hits and is hitting .342 with five doubles, one triple, and 12 RBIs. Catcher Morgan Dreyer is hitting at a .328 clip with three doubles, a home run, and 10 RBIs. Cydney Ogan (.310 avg.) and Maddie Struble (.305 avg.) have also been key contributors to the Fightin' Engineer offense this season; combining for 31 hits and 22 RBIs.
On the mound this season for Rose-Hulman, Michelle Korf has posted a 5-4 record with an ERA of 3.12.
For Hanover, Dabney Skutt leads the Panthers with a .369 average. She has recorded 24 hits and has driven in 15 runs. As a team, HC is hitting .283 in 2017.
