TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will compete in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday starting at 1 pm. The men's program has won team titles at the last 19 HCAC Track and Field Championship Meets (11 outdoor; 8 indoor), while the women are the defending HCAC Outdoor and Indoor Champions.
Rose-Hulman News & Notes:
* The men's track and field team enters the weekend with a 32-7 dual meet record this season.
* The women's track and field team enters the weekend with a 28-11 dual meet record this season.
* Both teams are ranked in the latest USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region rankings. The men stand at No. 7, and the women are No. 11 in the region.
* Three Fightin' Engineers have earned multiple HCAC Athlete of the Week awards this season. Lauren London has been named HCAC Track (once) and HCAC Field Athlete of the Week (twice); Eric Fiacable is a 3-time Field Athlete of the Week; and Noah Thomas is a 2-time Track Athlete of the Week.
* Rose-Hulman won the HCAC "Double Triple Crown" in 2018. The Fightin' Engineers swept the HCAC men's and women's team championships in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field to accomplish the feat.
* Rose-Hulman enters the 2019 indoor track and field season with 19 consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference team championships. The men have won 11 consecutive HCAC outdoor championships and 8 straight HCAC indoor titles.
* The women's program earned its second indoor and first outdoor HCAC team championship in 2018. The only previous team track and field title for the Rose-Hulman women came during the 2011 indoor season.
* Since joining the HCAC in 2006, Rose-Hulman student-athletes have combined to win 223 HCAC individual and relay event championships.
* Returning 2018 HCAC indoor event champions for this season include: Clare Bruns (4-x-400 relay); Lois Cheatham (4-x-400 relay); Lauren London (60-meter hurdles and long jump); Adekite Oladipupo (4-x-200 relay); Aaron Lannoy (800-meter run); and Matthew Stevenot (3,000-meter run)
* Rose-Hulman has five top-three rankings in the Great Lakes Region this week. Aaron Lannoy is 1st in the 800-meters; Lauren London is 1st in the long jump and 2nd in the triple jump; Noah Thomas is 3rd in the 200-meters; and Nick Palmer is 2nd in the pole vault.
* Three Rose-Hulman performances currently rank in the NCAA Division III Top 25. London stands No. 11 in long jump; Palmer is No. 18 in pole vault; and Fiacable is No. 22 in the weight throw.
* Rose-Hulman was picked as the favorite to win both of the league championships this weekend, in a poll of league coaches released on Thursday.

The Championship will begin at 1 p.m.
• Admission to the Championship is $8 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and non-HCAC affiliated students (cash only). Children under 3 and HCAC students, faculty and staff are admitted free with valid campus identification.
• Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase at the concession stand.
• Shirts, sweatshirts & programs will be available for purchase (cash only).

• Awards Ceremony will occur at 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 16.
• No spectators are permitted in the player hospitality or near the official tournament table.
• Limited bleacher seating is available at the facility.
• Ushers will be directing spectators across the track to infield seating.
• Spectators are expected to display proper sportsmanship.
• No Pets allowed at the indoor facility.
The Competition:
* The HCAC Championships at Defiance College begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Upcoming Action:
* Individuals will compete in indoor meets following the HCAC Championships. The NCAA Division III National Championships, for any individual event qualifiers, take place March 8-9 in Boston.
