Softball Closes Florida Trip with Friday Doubleheader

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team closes its Florida trip in contests against Houghton (10 am) and Adrian (12:15 pm) on Friday.

  • Rose-Hulman stands 3-5 in Florida, with wins over John Jay (13-1), Mitchell (7-3) and Elizabethtown (6-4).
  • The John Jay win featured a one-hitter from Emily Struble and a 10-run fifth inning explosion.
  • In the Mitchell game, Rose-Hulman had six hits and Alyssa Pinkston tossed the complete game for the win.
  • The Elizabethtown game featured a 10-hit offensive attack and another pitching win for Pinkston.
  • Gabrielle Davidson leads the offense with a .440 batting average with two doubles and one triple this season.
