Women's Track & Field Wins 11 Events to Capture Friday Night Spikes #2

MEET RESULTS

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team captured 11 event victories to earn first-place honors against Manchester, Franklin and Mount St. Joseph at the Sports & Recreation Center on Friday.

Nosa Igiehon won two field events and one running event to lead the Fightin' Engineer performance.  Igiehon won the triple jump (35' 2") and high jump (5' 0 1/4") while also capturing the 60-meter hurdles (9.88 seconds).  

Katrina Agustin added two individual event victories for Rose-Hulman.  Agustin won both the 60-meters (8.50) and 200-meters (28.85) to lead the sprinting efforts.

Other running event winners included Christina Rogers in the 400 (1:04.17) and Maggie Sheerin in the mile (5:47.24).

Field event winners for Rose-Hulman also included Rofiat Adeyemi in the long jump (16' 5") and Brooke Schroeder in the pole vault (9' 0 1/4").

The Fightin' Engineers also swept the 4-x-200 and 4-x-400 meter relay events.  The 4-x-200 team of Adekite Oladipupo, Agustin, Emily Peterson and Rogers won in 1:54.72.  The 4-x-400 team of Lois Cheatham, Madison Lindfelt, Christina Rogers and Karen Folz won in 4:33.12.

Rose-Hulman continues the Friday Night Spikes Series with Meet #3 of the 2021 season next weekend at the SRC.
