TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team earned a first-place finish at the Fightin' Engineers Spring Classic on Saturday.
The team finished the meet with nine event wins and 22 top-three finishes.
Rose Talbert earned two event wins in the 400-meter dash (57.26) and the 200-meter dash (25.38).
Alex Adams was another standout with an event win in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.54.
Narindwa Semakula also earned an event win in the sprints, picking up a victory in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.78.
Jocelyn Onstot led the distance team with a win in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.76.
Summer Kite was another distance event winner, placing first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 13:24.12.
Irene Lema Madueno led the Fightin' Engineers in the field events with a win in the pole vault after clearing a height of 3.15 meters (10' 4").
Abigail Drumm also earned an event win in the field events, placing first in the triple jump with a mark of 10.12 meters (33' 2.5").
Audrey Edwards was the other field event winner, winning the high jump competition after clearing 1.58 meters (5' 2.25").
Rose-Hulman women's track & field will return to action at the Pacesetter Invitational hosted by Indiana State on Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4.
