TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers recorded nine points as a team to take 14
th place at the Pacesetter Invitational. Although Rose-Hulman was the lone Division III team at the meet, the Fightin' Engineers posted better scores than Division I opponents Butler and Chicago State.
Rose Talbert accounted for eight of the team's nine points as she recorded a second-place finish in the 400m dash. She posted a time of 56.80, which ranks as the 17
th fastest time across all of NCAA Division III.
Irene Lema Madueno added Rose-Hulman's final team point as she placed eighth overall in the pole vault. She posted a jump of 10'10", which also ranks in the top 100 across NCAA Division III.
The Fightin' Engineers 4x100m relay team of Talbert,
Abigail Drumm,
Iliana Hernandez, and
Alex Adams placed ninth overall with a time of 49.21.
Carolina Snyder-Perez accumulated two top 15 finishes for the Fightin' Engineers. She placed 10
th in the discus with a 36.17m throw and 13
th in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.10m.
Rose-Hulman will continue the season at Lee University for the Fast Break Athletics Invitational on Friday, April 10.
