TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team combined for nine event victories to win the four-team Friday Night Spikes Series Meet #3 at the Sports and Recreation Center.
Rose-Hulman outscored Manchester and Transylvania to take home top honors.Â
Nosa Igiehon won three events to lead the individual effort. Igiehon won the triple jump with the third ranked mark in Rose-Hulman history (35' 9 1/2"), the high jump (5' 2 1/4") and 60-hurdles (9.72 seconds).
Christina Rogers added two sprint victory wins, bringing home the 200-meter (28.35) and 400-meter (1:02.71) first-place honors. Rogers also teamed with
Emily Peterson,
Lois Cheatham and
Karen Folz to win the 4-x-400 meter relay in 4:28.05.
Other winners included
Katrina Agustin in the 60-meter dash (8.56 seconds);
Claire Perkins in the pole vault (9' 6 1/4"); and
Cassie Utley in the shot put (35' 3").
Rose-Hulman returns to action with the fourth Friday Night Spikes Series meet of the 2021 indoor season next weekend at the SRC.
