Women's Track & Field Completes Unbeaten Indoor Regular Season

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team completed an undefeated regular season by winning Friday Night Spikes Invitational Meet No. 5 at the Sports and Recreation Center.

The Fightin' Engineers hosted five consecutive meets against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foes on consecutive Friday nights, capturing the team scoring wins in each meet.  This weekend, Rose-Hulman outdistanced Hanover and Earlham in the team scoring to pick up the victory.

Rose-Hulman won seven events in the men's competition to capture this week's victory. 

Nosa Igiehon led the performance with three event victories.  Igiehon won the high jump (5' 3"), triple jump (36' 5") and 60-meter hurdles (9.60) in a versatile performance.

Other women's field event winners included Claire Perkins in the pole vault (10' 0"); Dara Smith in the long jump (16' 0 1/4"); and Chimele Uriri in the weight throw (42' 11 3/4").

Christina Rogers added a victory in the 200-meter dash in a time of 27.56 seconds.

Rose-Hulman hosts the HCAC Women's Indoor Championships at the Sports and Recreation Center on Saturday Feb. 20 at 1 pm.
