Women's Track & Field Comes Home 2nd at DePauw Invitational

GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on five event victories to come home second at the DePauw Quad women's track and field meet on Saturday.

Nosa Igiehon led the Fightin' Engineers with three first-place finishes.  Igiehon won the 100-hurdles (16.32 seconds), high jump (5' 2 1/4") and triple jump (37' 3").

Other first-place finishers included Claire Perkins in the pole vault (10' 2") and Cassie Utley in the javelin (121' 5").

Emily Peterson added a second-place finish in the 400-meters in 1:03.56.

Third-place event finishers were led by Utley with three third place finishes in the discus (108' 11"); shot put (34' 5"); and hammer (110' 11").

Other third-place finishes were earned by Rofiat Adeyemi in the triple jump (36' 1 1/2"); Lois Cheatham in the 400 (1:03.88); Kaia Johnson in the 1500 (5:12.24); Adekite Oladipupo in the long jump (16' 5 3/4"); Dara Smith in the high jump (4' 10 1/4"); and the 4-x-400 team of Peterson, Smith, Madison Lindfelt and Cheatham (4:23.22).

Rose-Hulman travels to the Hanover Invitational next Saturday.
