TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team opens the 2021 season at home on Sunday at 1 pm with a doubleheader against Anderson University.

Only limited and invited family members or specifically invited Rose-Hulman community members can attend outdoor events in 2020-21.  If you have not been directly contacted by a member of the team, you will be refused entry into the game.  Guests must fill out the campus visitor Travel & Symptoms Form 24 hours before attending an event.  NO visiting fans will be permitted and NO members of the general public will be permitted.

ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish 4th in the HCAC this season in the league preseason coaches poll.
* Rose-Hulman finished 4-3 during the abbreviated 2020 season.  The Fightin' Engineers were 27-12 and 14-2 in league play in 2019.
* The Fightin' Engineers return eight starters from the 2020 team and still have five returning starters from the 2019 campaign.  Harris Camp was named the team Most Valuable Player in 2020 after hitting .370 with two doubles and two triples.
* Other returning starters include Shane Garner (.296, 2 2B, 1 HR); Luke Kluemper (.409, 1 2B, 1 3B); Josh Mesenbrink (.417, 1 2B); Luke Calabrese (.176, 1 2B); AJ Ernst (.286, 1 2B); Shaine Mitchell (.385, 3 SB); and Logan Cody (.227, 1 2B, 1 3B).
* Rose-Hulman returns a solid pitching staff featuring returning starters Matthew Rouse (1-1); Ben Yoss (1-0); and Jacob Petrisko (0-0).  The bullpen is led by Adam Taylor (0.00 ERA, 2 saves) and Quintin Bynum (0-0, 3.68).

ANDERSON GAME NOTES:
* Anderson was picked to finish 2nd in the HCAC this season in the league preseason coaches poll.
* Anderson finished 6-3 during the abbreviated 2020 season.  The Ravens were 21-16 and 10-8 in league play in 2019.
