TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team came home 3rd at the Wabash College Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Aaliyah Briggs led four first-place finishes by winning the javelin (91' 10") and discus throw (101' 4"). Â
Rofiat Adeyemi won the triple jump with a mark of 34' 11 1/4", and
Brooke Schroeder added a pole vault victory with a mark of 8' 10 1/4".
Nosa Igiehon led the runner-up finishes with second-place efforts in the 100-hurdles (16.36) and long jump (16' 9 1/4").
Dara Smith added a second place in the 400 (1:03.69) and
Chimele Uriri came home second in the hammer (112' 2").
Third-place finishers included Adeyemi in the long jump (16' 8 3/4"); Briggs in the shot put (34' 11 1/4"); Igiehon in the high jump (4' 10 1/4");
Avery Lewman in the javelin (67' 11");
Madison Lindfelt in the 1500 (5:25.90); and
Adekite Oladipupo in the 200 (27.97).
Rose-Hulman will compete at the DePauw Quad next week
