MEET RESULTS
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team came home second in the season opening Friday Night Spikes Meet at the Sports and Recreation Center.
The 4-x-200 meter relay team of
Emily Peterson,
Katrina Agustin,
Elle Vuotto and
Christina Rogers won in a time of 1:58.99 to pace the effort.
Dara Smith and
Evelyn Utley recorded second-place event finishes. Smith was runner-up in the high jump (4' 9 3/4") and Utley was second in the shot put (37' 2 1/2").
Cameron Weber added the No. 2 ranked weight throw mark in Rose-Hulman history (45' 7 3/4")Â to place third against two nationally ranked competitors from Washington University in St. Louis.
Washington University won the meet, followed by Rose-Hulman in second and Manchester in third.
The Fightin' Engineers return home for Friday Night Spikes Meet #2 next weekend.
