DEFIANCE, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won six events and had 11 top-two event finishes to earn a strong second place team finish at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's track and field indoor championships on Saturday at Defiance College.

Manchester took home the team championship with 176.5 points.  Rose-Hulman placed second overall with a total of 135 points.  Hanover was third with 121 points, folloewd by Anderson and Franklin in the 10-team meet.

Rofiat Adeyemi led Rose-Hulman with a historic day in sweeping the long jump and triple jump titles.  Adeyemi recorded the No. 2 triple jump in Rose-Hulman history (37' 1 1/4") and the No. 3 long jump in school history (17' 6 3/4") to sweep championship honors in both events.

Adeyemi was also named HCAC Women's Jumps Athlete of the Year for her efforts.

Individual champions also included Madison Lindfelt in the 800 (2:28.87); Christina Rogers in the 400 (1:01.80); and Evelyn Utley in the shot put (40' 2 1/4").

The 4-x-400 relay team capped the meet with first-place honors.  Emily Peterson, Sarah Shoemaker, Liv Aspholm and Christina Rogers won the event in 4:17.95.
