RESULTS
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team relied on three first-place finishes and one school record to highlight a strong runner-up team finish at the DePauw Invitational on Saturday.
Rofiat Adeyemi won two events with first-place finishes in both the long jump (17' 2 1/4") and the triple jump (36' 0 1/4"). Â The long jump mark was a personal best for Adeyemi and ranks No. 3 in school history.
Evelyn Utley snapped her own school record to bring home first-place honors in the shot put with a mark of 40' 7".
Runner-up finishers included
Kyra Hicks in the triple jump (33' 6 3/4");
Madison Lindfelt in the 800 (2:30.80); and
Claire Perkins in the pole vault (10' 0").
Third-place finishers included
Jada Hunter-Hays in the high jump (4' 7");
Dara Smith in the 400 (1:07.45); and
Cameron Weber in the weight throw (42' 10 1/4").
Rose-Hulman will once again travel to DePauw for another indoor meet next Saturday Feb. 12.
