GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on a pair of event wins to finish fourth at the Indiana Division III Women's Track and Field Championships at DePauw University on Saturday.
Rofiat Adeyemi won the triple jump with a mark of 35' 6" to highlight field event performers. Adeyemi was also second in the long jump (16' 11 1/4").
Christina Rogers led the running events with a win in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.21. Rogers was also part of the 4-x-400 meter relay team that came home second in 4:20.29.
Other noteworthy performances included
Evelyn Utley with the No. 3 javelin throw in school history to place 2nd (121-10) and
Claire Perkins with the No. 2 pole vault in school history to place 3rd (10-4).
Rose-Hulman had a total of 13 top-four finishes at the meet, which are listed below.
The Fightin' Engineers host the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet next Friday at the William Welch Track and Field Complex.
