ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology sophomore
Rofiat Adeyemi set another school record to cap her 2022 regular season at the Augustana (Ill.) Last Chance Meet on Thursday afternoon.
Adeyemi snapped her long jump school record with a mark of 18' 9 3/4" to vault into contention for a spot at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships later this month, with the field set for release on Friday night. She also competed in the triple jump with a mark of 37' 11 1/2".
Adeyemi swept the HCAC Jumps Athlete of the Year honors both indoors and outdoors in 2022. She swept the indoor and outdoor conference championships in both the long jump and triple jump, and also set new outdoor school records this season in both events. Her school record outdoor marks stand at 18' 9 3/4" in the long jump and 38' 3 1/2" in the triple jump.
Aaliyah Briggs also qualified for the final in the javelin with a mark of 117' 9" on Thursday.
