BLOOMINGTON, Ind. --
Rofiat Adeyemi set two new Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology school records to highlight the team's performance at the Indiana University Billy Hayes Invitational on Friday.
Adeyemi set school records in both the triple jump (38' 3 1/2") and the long jump (18' 7") to finish third against NCAA Division I opposition in each event.
The long jump mark of 18' 7" ranks in the NCAA Division III top 25 this season. The triple jump mark of 38' 3 1/2" ranks in the NCAA Division III top 30.
Adeyemi is the 2022 HCAC Women's Jumps Athlete of the Year or her efforts in sweeping both the long jump and triple jump titles at the indoor and outdoor league championship.
Aaliyah Briggs also competed at the Billy Hayes Invitational on Friday, recording a women's javelin mark of 118' 0" to finish 4th in a field of eight primarily NCAA Division I competitors.
Individuals from the Fightin' Engineers will compete in the North Central Last Chance Meet on May 12-13.
