FULL RESULTS
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team took home second place in their home and season opener against Washington University - St. Louis and Manchester.
Rebecca Testa and
Narindwa Semakula won the two events for the Fightin' Engineers. Testa took home first place in the 3000 Meter Run. Semakula, a freshman, took home first place in the 60 Meter Hurdles with the second-fastest time in school history in that event.
Evelyn Utley brought home second place in the shot put with a SCHOOL RECORD of 41 feet and 4.5 inches.
Rofiat Adeyemi led the Fightin' Engineers in jumping with two second place finishes in the Long Jump and the Triple Jump. Adeyemi's 17' 10.25" jump in the long jump beats her personal record and ranks 3rd in school history.
Aaliyah Jones also brought home a pair of top-five finishes in the Shot Put and Weight Throw.
Rose-Hulman returns to action next Friday night with the second meet of the Friday Night Spikes series as the Fightin' Engineers host Belhaven, Brescia, DePauw, Saint Mary of the Woods, and St. Norbert.
