GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won six individuals event in a strong second place team performance at the DePauw University Women's Track and Field Invitational on Saturday.
Elsa King led the individual effort with a sweep of two distance races. King won the mile in 5:39.04 and took home first-place honors in the 3000 with a time of 11:12.23.
Indivdiual event winners also included
Rofiat Adeyemi in the long jump (16' 11 1/4");
Katrina Agustin with the No. 2 all-time women's 60-meter time in Rose-Hulman history (7.98);
Emily Peterson in the 400 (1:03.12); and
Narindwa Semakula in the 200 (27.23).
Semakula led the second-place performers with runner-up efforts in the 60 (8.20) and long jump (15' 9 3/4").
Rose-Hulman hosts Friday Night Spikes Meet #5 next weekend at the Sports and Recreation Center.
