EASTERN ILLINOIS RESULTS

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team opened the 2023 outdoor season with a pair of meets at Hanover and Eastern Illinois. The Fightin' Engineers placed 6th at Hanover and had several individuals compete in the Big Blue Classic at EIU.

Aaliyah Jones led the Fightin' Engineers with a first-place finish in the Javelin Throw. Kylie Rathbun and Evelyn Utley each added multiple point-scoring performances as well with Utley grabbing two fourths and a sixth and Rathbun adding a pair of sixths.

At Eastern Illinois, Madison Lindfelt and Narindwa Semakula each grabbed top-5 finishes. Lindfelt finished third in the 3000m Steeplechase and Semakula finished fourth in the 100m hurdles. Semakula grabbed a second top-20 finish in the 200m dash, finishing 19th. Katrina Agustin also had two top-20 finishes at 12th in the 100m dash and 17th in the 200m dash.

Semakula's time of 14.86 in the 100m hurdles at Eastern Illinois also ranks 2nd all-time in Rose-Hulman history.
