Baseball Hosts Three-Game Series with HCAC Foe Mount St. Joseph

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team rides a three-game winning streak into this weekend as they are set to host the Mount St. Joseph Lions in a three-game HCAC series. There will be one game on Saturday at 3 PM with a doubleheader on Sunday at 12 PM and 3 PM.

ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers come in to this weekend with a 10-6 record and at 2-0 in the HCAC.
* Rose-Hulman got back on track with a Sunday sweep of Defiance to open HCAC play before taking down Wabash 6-0 on Wednesday.
* The Fightin' Engineers have won nine of their last twelve games with their losses coming in a series sweep by #25 Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
* Rose-Hulman enters the season with a 44-player roster under the direction of second-year head coach Adam Rosen.
* The Fightin' Engineers finished last season 28-13 and 12-6 in the HCAC which was enough for a 3rd place finish. The Fightin' Engineers fell to Earlham in the HCAC Championship.
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish 2nd in the HCAC this season, in a preseason poll of league coaches released in February.
* Rose-Hulman has received preseason notice from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper as they received votes in the NCAA Division III national poll.
* Rose-Hulman will hit the road next weekend for a three-game series at Hanover on Friday and Saturday due to Easter being on Sunday.

MOUNT ST. JOSEPH NOTES:
* Mount St. Joseph comes into the weekend at 12-5 with a 2-1 record in the conference.
* The Lions have won seven of their last eight games starting during their Florida Trip.
* Mount St. Joseph comes in with a team batting average of .310 and on-base percentage of .410.
* All six eligible players have batting averages over 0.335.
* Ryan Murray leads the team with a 1.264 OPS and .767 slugging percentage on 12 extra base hits including 5 home runs.
* Murray, Kevin Schaaf, Patrick Murray, Jake Lawson, and Anton Mere have all combined for 25 doubles on the season.
* On the mound, the Lions are led by Ethan Mason and Brice McGee.
* Mason has an ERA of 2.21 in four starts with 14 runs allowed, but only five of those runs are earned.
