TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team hosts Transylvania in big three-game series in the HCAC. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 12 PM and 3 PM before playing the final game on Sunday at 12 PM.

ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers come in to this weekend with a 15-9 record and at 7-1 in the HCAC. 
* Rose-Hulman comes into this week with wins in eight of their last eleven games. This includes a sweep of Defiance and Mount St. Joseph, a win over Wabash, and winning 2 of three over Hanover.
* The Fightin' Engineers currently sits a half game back of Bluffton for first-place in the HCAC.
* After playing Transylvania, the Fightin' Engineers host host a single game with Greenville for the second time this year on Wednesday at 7 PM.

TRANSYLVANIA NOTES:
* Transylvania comes into the weekend series at 14-12 and 5-2 in the HCAC.
* The Pioneers are on a six-game win streak over Manchester, Mount St. Joseph, and Spalding. 
* Prior to their five game win streak, Transylvania had lost seven of nine to Maryville, Chicago (1-2), Centre, Franklin (1-2), and Otterbein.
* The Pioneers best hitter, Trent Youngblood has not played since the March 26 game to Franklin. Youngblood was hitting .417 on the season with a .556 on-base percentage before his apparent injury.
* Calvin Schubert and Walter Munday lead the team in batting at .330 and .326.
* The Pioneers have struggled hitting as a team with just a .265 batting average and a .368 on-base percentage.
* Transylvania's starting pitchers have been unbelievable this season with Jacob Moberly, Luke Patton, and Connor Arnold all sporting sub 3.60 ERAs and sub 1.60 WHIPs.
* The Pioneers starters this season have a team ERA of 3.75 while their bullpen has just a 6.34 ERA.
* After batting Rose-Hulman, the Pioneers will host a three-game series with Hanover.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 31-14 over Transylvania.
* The Fightin' Engineers have won or split every series with the Pioneers dating back to 2011 when Transylvania took two of three.
* Last year, Rose-Hulman won both meeting in Louisville 12-8 and 10-4.
