TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology battles the Manchester Spartans on Friday at 1:15 PM an elimination game in Kokomo, Indiana. Rose-Hulman beat Anderson 4-3 in the first game of the day on Thursday before falling to Transylvania 9-4 to end the day. With a win at 1:15, the Fightin' Engineers will play the winner of Bluffton and Anderson at 7:45 PM.

* The Fightin' Engineers finished the regular season with a 22-20 record and at 13-9 in the HCAC. 
* Rose-Hulman earned the #4 seed thanks to a split with #3 Bluffton and a sweep of #6 Manchester to close out the season.
* The Fightin' Engineers had their four-game winning streak snapped in the nightcap against Transylvania on Thursday night.
* The team currently ranks 4th in school history with 30 home runs this season. Last year's team finished second in school history with 34.
* Rose-Hulman has tallied 185 walks this season which ranks 6th in school history for a single season. Their 61 times being hit by a pitch ranks 2nd in school history, just two shy of the 2022 team that set the school record.

MANCHESTER NOTES:
* Manchester comes into the weekend at 22-19 on the season and 12-10 in the HCAC and tied Anderson for 5th place in the HCAC.
* The Spartans went 1-1 on the first day of the tournament with an 11-3 win over Bluffton and a 7-6 loss to Franklin.
* Aidan Stevens and Joel Kennedy lead the team in hitting at .361 and .360 and each have an OPS over 1.000
* Stevens, Kennedy, and Hanes have combined for 64 extra base hits on the season.
* Ty Layson and Carter Hooks lead the pitching staff with sub-5 ERAs at 4.23 and 4.99 on the season.
* Layson dominated Bluffton in the opening win of the tournament while Hooks held the potent Franklin offense in check in their second game of the day.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, the Spartans will compete in the HCAC Baseball Tournament in Kokomo, Indiana next week.

* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 42-39 over Manchester.
* The Fightin' Engineers lead the Spartans 7-3 dating back to the 2019 season including a sweep two years in a row.
