Baseball Travels to Bluffton for Friday Doubleheader

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team travles to Ohio on Friday afternoon for their final road games of the season at Bluffton at 1 PM and 4 PM. All four games during the rest of the season are crucial for the Fightin' Engineers as they look to finish in the top-6 of the HCAC to make the tournament in Kokomo. 

ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers come in to this weekend with a 18-18 record and at 10-8 in the HCAC. 
* Rose-Hulman comes into this weekend after going just 1-3 against Anderson and Earlham last weekend.
* The Fightin' Engineers have dropped 11 of their last 14 games since their Easter weekend series with Hanover.
* Rose-Hulman currently sit in 4th place in the HCAC, tied with Manchester and one-game up on Anderson and Earlham.
* The team currently ranks 5th in school history in hit by pitches in a season with 54, tied with the 2006 and 2017 squads.
* They also rank 8th in school history in walks in a season with 167, tied with the 2018 squad.
* The team currently has the 8th highest ERA in school history for a single season.
* After playing Bluffton, the Fightin' Engineers will return home for Senior Day against the Manchester Spartans on May 7.

* Senior Jack Towell leads the offensive attack with a .371 batting average and 20 extra base hits. He is slugging 1.074 on the season.
* Sophomore Justin Maurer has also hit it well with a .323 batting average and a .951 OPS.
* On the mound, the Beavers are led by Andrew Collinsworth with a 4.73 ERA.
