Women's Track Finishes Third at Hanover Invitational

FINAL RESULTS

HANOVER, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team rode eight top-3 finishes to a third place finish in Saturday's Hanover Invitational.

Rofiat Adeyemi was the top performer for the Fightin' Engineers on Saturday as she brought home two first-place finishes in the Long Jump and Triple Jump events.

Narindwa Semakula won the lone other event for Rose-Hulman on the day in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.60.

Three Rose-Hulman throwers also earned their spot in the Rose-Hulman record book on Saturday. Kylie Rathbun placed 2nd in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 142' 0" which ranks as the 2nd best in school history. Carolina Snyder-Perez also recorded the 2nd-best mark in school history in the Discus Throw with a mark of 125' 0" en route to a 3rd place finish. Aaliyah Jones capped off the meet with the third-best mark in school history in the Shot Put with a mark of 37' 0.5".

The Fightin' Engineers will return to action on Saturday, April 6 when they travel to Wabash College for the Huntsman Invitational.

3RD PLACE:
* Aaliyah Jones - Shot Put - 11.29m - 37' 0.5"
* Carolina Snyder-Perez - Discus Throw - 38.11m - 125' 0" (2nd in school history)
* Rebecca Testa - 5000m Run - 20:45.94
* Amelia Thieman - Pole Vault - 2.55m - 8' 4.25"
